edp was the first company in Australia to develop bulk handling equipment, this was back in the 1950’s.
edp first designed a gravity bin tipper (patented) for the tipping of half tonne wooden bins of fruit, replacing the old timber lug boxes, this was then quickly expanded to include hydraulic half tonne bin tipping for the local canneries, Ardmona, SPC, Kyabram Cannery, Heinz Foods in Dandenong as well as numerous other installations.
Over the many years since it’s introduction into Australia, major developments have occurred in bulk bin handling equipment, fully automatic bin unstacking, tipping, washing and restacking.
