Rotary turn table for a vehicle display in the new MOVE car museum at Shepparton.
The owner of our company, being a bit of a car enthusiast himself, was approached to see if edp could build a rotary turn table for a vehicle display in the new MOVE car museum at Shepparton.
The challenge was to build something low in height, four metres diameter and be able to carry up to two tonne of vehicle weight.
Using the latest Industry 4 technology recently installed in the Mooroopna manufacturing facility the task was preformed to within 1 mm accuracy of the 4 metre diameter turn table.
Using in house software for the design and programming of the Laser cutting and component folding, the finished components; after powder coating, bolted together perfectly.

Greatly increasing our cut and fold accuracy and repeatability, folding compete operation in a single pass.
GT2600M CNC Turning Centre featuring, 18.5kW High torque Fanuc spindle motor with 12 station automatic tool turret.
Automatic SL80-S Barfeeder, servo Technology, 6mm dia. up to 80mm dia. bar length 350mm to 1600mm.
DNM5700 CNC Vertical Machining Centre featuring heavy duty high precision “Big Plus” 40 Taper 18.5kW 12,000rpm spindle.
30 Station automatic tool changer 80mm dia. x 300mm long up to 8kg with 1.3 second tool to tool and 4 second chip to chip.
